Our first garden install outside of South LA!

Thanks to Carrie Borzillo, who hired RootDown to install our FIRST bed outside of South LA - 4x8 RootDown LA veggie bed now is now growing veggies and herbs in Eagle Rock.  As part of RootDown's sustainability plan, our youth staff and interns are learning to think like entrepreneurs and get hired to do what they do best - get people to eat and grow veggies! Karen Ramirez and Ana Torres developed a budget, presented it to Carrie, then with the help of our another RootDown employee, showed up to install and plant Carrie's new garden in just 4 hours one Saturday morning.  Want your own veggie garden?  Contact us i n f o [at] rootdownla [dot org]!
